My lesson on risk and chance

Sometimes in life, fate brings along an experience so amazing that beating that perfection seems pretty impossible. When something like that happens, the idealist in me wants to keep that special memory buried away. Because sometimes, by pursing that faultlessness, you flaw the perfection and it erases and replaces that special memory you tried to keep sacred.

Okay maybe I’m not much of a risk taker but experience has proven this trait to be very much valuable. I’ve managed to keep many perfectly unstained memories and when the time calls for it, I pick them out from the box I keep buried for my own secret indulgence.

But this week, i learnt an important lesson in taking chances. I realize that sometimes, its okay to challenge that idealism. As hard as it may seem to put away the memory when it comes back shattered, that’s what life is about isn’t it? To embrace change, to learn, to receive, to accept, to let go and to take chances.

So after MUCH mental debate , i decided that i pretty much shouldn’t give a fuck and just do what i had to do, after all, life is short and yada yada. I was so nervous as I prepared myself for a perfect memory getting replaced. Well, it did get replaced. But with something much more beautiful and i'm so so SO glad i took that risk. Though there were a few disappointments here and there, i had one of the most Unforgettable and Amazing nights of my life!! Gosh i'm even smiling while typing right now hahaha.. thanks for pushing me to do it Bec, Big hug* (:!!

I guess i learnt that sometimes in life, you really have to just get your ass out of your comfort zone and do things you are unfamiliar or scared of .You may return home worn out and defeated. BUT at least you know you tried. You would live with that dejection for a while but it beats living with regret forever.

And sometimes chasing that perfection might be worth it. One of my lecturers used to say that even the most insignificant event can teach you something so you pretty much have nothing to lose.

Life is too damm short. I mean, if you don't take chances now, then when?

Its time I dig up that buried box

Prohibition never once stood chance against Exhibition.

Its human nature to be free
