CNY 08

I love Chinese New Year!!!
Apart from the very obvious "collect as much ang bao as possible" goal and stuffing myself with cny goodies, here are other reasons why i look forward to Chinese New Year:

1. The other type of Food
I realise that its during CNY that my hands and my mouth work in totally harmony. i can't stop feeding myself and i blame it entirely on my the scrumptious dinners served at my relatives houses.

very very yummy sambal prawns. i would choose prawns over chocolate anytime.

San Chen Rou and sea cucumber!

Lou Hei

And the dish i always look forward to every CNY, my grandaunt's superb curry. i totally swear by it!

2. Social Gambling . Did i say gambling? i meant Gathering
After the initial greetings, we all get down to business --> trying to pocket each other's ang pow money
Black Jack..huat ah!

And Mahjong (:
and OMG i have no idea why i was sitting in that unflattering position
and without fail, snapping away at our ang pow whoring faces!

3. Family Gatherings
The 2 people i always look forward to seeing the most...
My grandauntie (:
And my grand ma!
4. Last but not least, i look forward to my family's annual cny tradition.
We heart cam whoring! hahaha in fact, we snap so many pictures that we make it a point to bring our camera charger with us when we go visiting.
here are some of the many manyyyyyyyyyyyyyy photos we took.
The normal shots

And the ones on the Bed

On the bed ..yet again

And our other tradition... we watch a family movie every year! On day one. hahah pretty pathetic but we dont have that many relatives to visit so break away from the norm people! Its pretty cool watching movies on CNY in town because u feel as though you aren;t in singapore..everyone around are foreign!

At Cine where we caught Sweeny Todd. Fucking Gory.
And last but not least...daemon, Me, our eye liner and my new ultra shiny jewel tongue stud! ( which i promptly swallowed a few days after, totally wasting my cash!!! )

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight
