God bless the broken road

I've recently started watching HIMYM again, oh God i can't seem to get sick of that show even after watching it for the 4th damm time. In S1E4, Ted went and pursed an ex girlfriend he dumped 3 years ago. Well, turns out that he ended breaking her heart...again. Luckily for that poor girl, she met a nice man a year later and ended up happily married. The show ended up with Ted quoting one of my favourite cliche lines, that hey, " Everything happens for a reason".

We go through life fending off or being sucked into certain circumstances beyond our control. Being totally shortsighted, we whine, complain, cry, despair and bitch about life's unfairness to us... but when we think about it, all these circumstances happen to us for a particular reason; whether its to learn a lesson, to grow up ,to meet other people or to prepare us for what life will throw at us in future.

Have you ever had times in your life where u despair over a situation and think its the end of the world only to look back a few years later and realise how grateful you are that it happened and how you wouldnt change how things worked out at all?

I have had so many such times in my life. Getting into Sembawang Sec, SP, Quitting SIM, migrating to China and without a doubt, my catalyst for life change, Nat Chak. I thank God for his foresight, because i have none.

And i also thank him because i'm in a much better place right now. Even if this new relationship doesn't work out, well, im not going to despair much because i'm going to get through it all with faith. And looking back, i wouldnt change how my life played out ...at all. (:
